Yeah right. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
That right there is the weirdly-impossible-to-find-an-image-of “Used Vehicle Dealer” plate used for test drives.
I’m looking for a potential second vehicle to run Uber routes while I look for a more permanent new job after leaving mine yesterday. This one looked like an attractive option at a reasonable price, I think, but... If a dealership feels the need to drive their car to a random neighborhood to photograph it, then claim to be a private seller, all while being too dumb to realize they left their dealer tag plainly visible... Something is obviously not right with this car.

Saw your post the other day, what happened with the job? If you don’t want to share that’s completely understandable.

It’s deeply ironic that this guy, of all people, isn’t doing the thumb over the license plate thing.

Oh, it’s fine. I think I was going to be fired, but I brought in my two weeks notice anyway. My supervisor had me come sit down with his boss, and I just told them that I wanted to turn in my notice before anything. They gave each other a look like “Well, that’s convenient.” and asked if I would prefer to just resign immediately. I could use the money from the next two weeks, but I took their offer anyway just to be able to rest easy. It went way better than I had expected, honestly.
The only thing I would have done differently, had I known, is I’d take all the zip-ties out of my van before turning it over. They gave me a pack of 200 every single week, and I’d use maybe two of them at most. I could be set for life on those things if I kept them at home. :P

“Runs perfect, very clean”
and now I feel a fool, I did paragraphs of information in my CL ad, when all along all I need was 4 words and 1 punctuation.

Probably nothing wrong with that Altima in the background with no plates, either. Or the Ford across the street with no plate (although probably unrelated).
Side note: that car has the dealer sticker of ‘the car store’ (all lowercase) which is pretty close to me, up here in NH.
My money says head gasket.

I would suspect that the dealer is really shady as opposed to something being wrong with the car.

Ouch, that’s harsh.
Hope everything works out!

That kinda sucks, any idea what you’re gonna do next?

Not sure, really. I’m looking into something like a courier job, or anything else that’s primarily driving. That’s one thing that I know doesn’t tend to give me any anxiety, plus it’s fun.

Well good luck, hopefully something works out.

Thanks! I’m sure I’ll find something eventually.
